The school holds an Open Evening for Year 5 and 6 students annually in October. Prospective pupils and their parents/carers are able to visit faculty areas, talk to our students and discover the ethos at the heart of Elfed High School.
Visitors discover the meaning behind our ethos of “Achieving Excellence Together”. Students’ work is open to scrutiny but more importantly are the conversations with the students and staff themselves. Their enthusiasm is infectious and their positive attitude to learning is apparent to all those who engage with them.
We appreciate that the transition to secondary school can be a difficult and daunting time for Year 6 pupils and their parents/carers. By providing as much information as possible about our school we aim to help you make an informed decision about your child’s future. We believe that such openness about both your and our expectations of the school of your choice forms the basis of the home/school partnership essential to your child’s achievement.
As you will appreciate, given the current climate, it will not be possible for us to host our ‘normal’ Open Day/Evening this year.
However, we will be hosting a ‘virtual’ event and there will be an opportunity to discuss our school with members of our School Leadership Team. Get in touch to make an appointment or request a copy of our prospectus.
