We strive to always provide a safe, welcoming environment where our students are both respected and valued. Through safe recruitment, educating students on how to keep safe and and recognise behaviour that is unacceptable.
The school will identify and make provision for any child that has been subject to safeguarding issues, ensuring all staff and the Governing Body understand their responsibility under the Wales Safeguarding Procedures to be alert to the signs of and report any safeguarding concerns.
The school’s Designated Safeguard Person (DSP) is Mrs A Woolgar in the absence of the DSP, safeguarding matters will be dealt with by Mr A Stubbs or Mrs L Eyre. Our safeguarding policy can be viewed on the policies page.
If you are in any way concerned about the safety or welfare of your child, or a child you may know, you should act without delay.
Many people can often be afraid that their suspicions might be wrong, or that they will be interfering unnecessarily. It is important to know that if you have any suspicions, you can telephone the school for confidential advice.
Remember, it is always better to be safe than sorry.
