Lateral Flow Testing

From January, it will be our strong expectation that all Elfed High School students test three times a week using LFTs (Sunday evening, Tuesday evening and Thursday evening). These tests should be undertaken on the same days and times each week. Testing is conducted at home, not on the school premises. Comprehensive guidance on self-testing is contained in the ‘Instructions FOR Use’ leaflet which will be provided with the test kit.

Tests are only to be undertaken during term time.

Each time the test is taken, the result must be logged online at The result must be uploaded within 24 hours of the test being undertaken. The barcode on the test strip is required when submitting the test.

If you test positive, please inform the school immediately.

We understand the level of concern this national issue has generated in schools and the local community and we wanted to reassure you that we are following the latest advice and guidance. We hope parents and pupils concerns or questions are answered within these documents.
